Anna Robak

Anna is Executive Director of Research & Innovation at WSP Canada, a large multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy. She is a professional engineer with a PhD in economics, with 20 years of experience advising transportation and municipal asset owners around the world on their asset investment programs. Her own research is on the economic, health and social impacts of infrastructure systems, with a focus on impacts to vulnerable populations. She has a special interest in making health and employment more accessible for all.

Anna is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Brunswick’s Civil Engineering Department; member of the University of Toronto’s Civil and Mineral Engineering Industry Advisory Board; Senior Fellow for the Conference of Defence Associations Institute; and mentor in the IBET (Indigenous Black Engineering Technology) program. Anna was also on the Mayor’s Smart City Task Force for the City of Fredericton and Saint Mary’s First Nation for Canada’s inaugural Smart Cities Challenge.
