Student Paper Competition

CTRF encourages students to apply and submit work in either English or French

The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) Student Paper Competition is an annual event to award prizes for student papers. The primary focus of the paper must be directly related to a specific transportation practice or policy. Papers must be original work written by the student applicant only. More than one student may write the paper, and if a group paper is awarded the prize, the award will be divided among all student authors. Prizes are awarded for the best papers at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels.

Winning papers will be posted to the CTRF website along with the winner’s name, name of academic supervisor, name of university, and may be published in the CTRF Proceedings. In addition, the winner’s name, name of academic supervisor, and name of university may be announced on social media. NOTE: The faculty member supervising a student paper competition winner will receive a complimentary CTRF membership for the following year.

Prizes may be awarded in each of the following categories.

The CTRF retains the right not to make an award in any category in any year. 

There may be more than one award in any category depending on the quality of the papers.

Ce concours du Groupe de recherches sur les transports au Canada

Le GRTC encourage les étudiants à postuler et soumettre un projet de recherche soit en français ou en anglais.

Ce concours du Groupe de recherches sur les transports au Canada (GRTC) est un événement annuel accordant des prix à des étudiant(e)s pour des articles de recherche traitant de transport. La matière dont traite l’article doit être directement lié à une pratique ou une politique de transport spécifique. Les textes doivent être écrits par les étudiant candidats seuls. Des articles peuvent être écrits par un ou plusieurs étudiants; si l’article est rédigé par un groupe, le prix en sera partagé entre tous les auteurs.

Les prix sont décernés aux meilleurs textes des niveaux de licence, maîtrise et doctorat. Le GRTC se réserve le droit de ne pas attribuer de prix dans aucune catégorie durant n’importe quelle année. Les meilleurs textes de chaque catégorie pourraient être publiés dans le recueil des Actes du GRTC. NOTE: Le membre du corps professoral qui a dirigé l’étudiant gagnant dans sa rédaction remportera une adhésion au GRTC gratuite pour l’année suivante.
