CTRF is pleased to announce the FRIENDS OF CTRF.

In 1994, CTRF created "Regional Contact" positions for the purposes of informing members and interested non-members of events taking place, inviting potential new members, providing the editor of the newsletter with regional or local interests, and to help organize local CTRF Board luncheons.

These positions were replaced in 2006 by the "Friends of the CTRF". The Friends of the CTRF are appointed by the Board and receive copies of the agenda for Board meetings as well as Minutes of Board meetings. They may attend Board meetings (although no travel costs will be reimbursed) and are encouraged to participate in the discussion although they are not entitled to vote at Board meetings. Their role is to provide advice to the Board. They are invited to volunteer to help with annual or semi-annual meeting preparation, communication with members or other organizations or other roles as requested by the Board and agreed to by the Friends.
