Don McKnight
Mr. McKnight is considered a specialist in the transportation industry having worked almost exclusively with this industry over the past forty-five years, twenty-three of these with KPMG where he rose to a Principal in KPMG’s National Transportation Practice. He also worked for Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian Pacific Consulting Services. He is now President of DAMF Consultants Inc., specializing in transportation and logistics management.
Mr. McKnight has directed or participated in numerous transportation-related projects in the consulting profession. He has provided consulting services to both the users and providers of transportation services in both the private and public sectors. These include carriers, shippers, and governments at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels. Mr. McKnight has worked with all modes of transport but particularly with the rail, marine and trucking modes of transport. This experience has led to significant work in logistics and intermodal transportation.
He is a graduate of Carleton University (B.Sc.), and McGill University (M.B.A.). He is a Fellow (FCILT) of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and is a member of the Canadian Transportation Research Forum. He is currently a lecturer in the Supply Chain Management and Logistics Certificate Program at McGill University, teaching courses in transportation economics and logistics.
