Gerry Kolaitis

Gerry was Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Financial Planning and Control for Via Rail Canada. He holds an MBA as well as a B Comm. from Concordia University. After a period of employment with Canada Steamship Lines, Gerry joined VIA Rail where his duties have included several positions related to strategic and financial planning and analysis, with respect to most aspects of the business and transportation in general.

He is currently responsible for directing VIA Rail’s strategic, financial, route and fleet planning and analysis. Other professional involvements have included membership on the Advisory Council, Canadian Institute of Guided Ground Transport, serving as VIA’s representative on the National Rail Network Study Steering Committee, and as a member of the Advisory Board and Chair of the Budget Committee of the Hellenic Community of Montreal. He joined the CTRF as councillor in 1997-98, and is a past President of the CTRF (2002-03).
