Jonathan Thibault

Jonathan Thibault,  is the Director of Economics, Data and Research at the Railway Association of Canada (RAC), where he oversees RAC’s research agenda, including the annual publications of Rail Trends, the Locomotive Emissions Monitoring Report, and RAC’s Quarterly Reports. In addition, Jonathan manages the Canadian Rail Atlas and runs the association’s Shortline Committee and Taxation Committee. Prior to joining the RAC, Jonathan worked as an economist in the Ontario Ministry of Finance’s Office of Economic Policy. He has a decade of experience in research, policy, and economics, and makes it his mission to simplify large amounts of disparate data into clear, cohesive and relatable messages. Jonathan holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Queen’s University.
